Will of PHILIP ROBINSON

Lancaster Co PA, Will Book C, volume 1, page 40

In the name of God Amen. April 3, 1769 I Philip Robinson being this day in health of body & blessed be God of perfect mind and memory yet knowing that it is appointed for all men once to die and after death the judgment, do make and appoint this to be my last Will and Testament in manner & form following, viz, And first I return my soul to God who gave it to be revived in & through Jesus Christ and my body to the Earth to be decently buried at the discretion of my friends and Executors / hereafter to be named nothing doubting but I shall receive the same again by the Almighty power of God at the Resurrection. And as to what worldly goods it hath pleased God to bless me with I dispose of & bequeath in the following maner viz unto my son Samuel Robinson I leave and bequeath the Plantation whereon I now leave together with all the buildings and improvements thereon made containing one hundred and ten acres with the usual allowance of six acres / hundred for roads and the deed of said land to be his own at my decease free of any further incumbrance and as to what moveable estate I may have after paying my just debts and defraying my funeral expences I allow and will that they shall be sold and an equal division to be made of the money arising from such sale amongst the rest of my other children which are Thomas & George Robinson, Agness Robinson & Sarah Thompson and I hereby appoint & allow nominate & ordain my sons Thomas & Samuel Robinson to be my sole Executors to see this my last Will Execute according to the true meaning thereof and thereby disalow and to all intents and purposes make void all other Wills by me made confirming this and this only to be my last Will and Testament before these Witnesses they being called by me for that end

On the thirteenth day of June Anno Domini 1770 before me the subscriber personally appeared Hugh Watson & David Watson the two subscribing witnesses to the within Will and on their corporal oath did depose and say that they were present and saw and heard Philip Robinson the Testator within named sign seal publish pronouce and declare the within writing as and for his Last Will and Testament and that at the doing thereof he was of sound and well disposing mind memory and undertanding to the best of their knowledge observation & belief.
