Accomack Co VA Deeds Wills & Etc. 1715 - 1729 Part I (folio 28-29)

In the name of God Amen this 17th day of February 1715 I Robert Adkins of the County of Accomack being aged and weak of body and knowing the certainty of death and that all flesh must yeald when it pleases God to send his Messenger have thought fitt to make this my Last Will & Testament in manner and form as followeth: First I give and bequeath my soul to God yt. gave it hoping in the merrett & passion of my onely Savious Jesus Christ to obtaine pardon for all my sins my body I commit to the earth to be decently buryed as my Executors shall see fitt - and I doe make nul and void all former will by me made and I doe acknowledge this to be my onely will & testamt. I will that all my just debt be honestly paid. Item I give and bequeth to my daughter Sibella Tomson and John Tomson her husband two hundred acres of land or there a bouts more or less it being the land I now live on situarted and lying in Accomack County at the head of Gingoteague Neck with all houses orchards fencing and all appurtenances tharunto belonging unto her the sd. Sibella Tomson and John Tomson her husband during thar naturall lives & then to her my sd. daughter Sibella Tomsons heirs lawfully begotten on her body for ever and for want of such heirs then to my son Robert Adkins and his heirs lawfully begotten on body for ever and in case of his failing of heirs then to my daughter Catherine Whealton & her heirs for ever. Item I give and bequeth to my son Robert Adkins one great iron pott one feather bed and bolster one pare of sheets one blankett one red rugg one cow & one horse. Item I give and bequeth to my daugher Catherin Whealton one ewe. Item I give to my daughter Mary Masen one ewe. Item I give & bequeth to my daughter Ann Ternall one ewe. Item I give & bequeth to my daughter Elizabeth Walker one ewe . Item I give & bequeth to my daughter Sibella Tomson all my horses mares cattell sheep hoggs housel stuf beding chests potts debts & all my Personal Estate that is not already given as above. Item I doe make nominate & appoint my son & daughter John Tomson and Sibella his wife my Executors of this my Last Will & Testamt: & yt. they my sd. Executors deliver the above sd. legacies to the persons they are bequeth to Witness my hand and seal the day & year above written.
